The mission of the Northeast Pennsylvania Area Labor
Federation (ALF) is to coordinate strategic
planning, regionally, between affiliates and Central
Labor Councils to attain a higher degree of success
in the areas of politics, organizing, mobilizing and
legislative activities. To accomplish this, we
will:
Build strength in numbers, regionally,
to assist affiliates in organizing, contracts and
legislation
Establish unions as active forces in
our communities through mobilization and education
Build coalitions with allies to fight
for working families agendas
Increase the power and voices of
working families in the following counties: Lehigh,
Northampton, Schuylkill, Union, Snyder, Montour,
Clinton, Tioga, Bradford, Lycoming, Columbia,
Northumberland, Luzerne, Lackawanna, Carbon, Monroe,
Pike, Wyoming, Wayne, Sullivan and Susquehanna
