President Jones,
On behalf of the Pennsylvania Postal Workers Union, I
want to express my sincere gratitude for all the hard
work and dedication put forth by the Eastern Montgomery
County PA Area Local which helped make the 19th biennial
State Convention a success. The obstacles faced
were many, but we were able to overcome every one of
them, due in large part to the perseverance and unity
exhibited by you and the members of your local.
I cannot thank you enough for standing beside me when
the decision was made to move our convention site due to
labor problems at the Doubletree Hotel. It was
only because you took immediate action to locate another
hotel that we were able to take care of the business of
our convention without a single distraction to our
delegates.
Having been re-elected to continue serving as your state
president at the convention, I am committed to
progressively working to advance the interest of all
postal workers. I appreciate the support that you
have given me, and I assure you that it will not be
forgotten. The EMCAL local has exhibited the
truest qualities of leadership and has set an example
for all to follow.
