I'd like to pass on an ironic situation, I recently found myself faced with...why and how It came about I'm not exactly sure, be it did! It's now been nearly two months, I've been out on an emgergency placement. A step one gievance has been filed that was denied approximately five minutes after it was submitted to Plant Manager Mills...the interesting portion is, I had just met with her for nearly an hour regarding my ten day Vet. Pref. Meeting. Kenny and I brought out numerous flaws that existed in management's case. The information supplied during the meeting was more than just contentions we were making, the issues actually were supported by proof/evidence, that made our allegations much more than just contentions. Part of our evidence obtained now helps establish a baised investigation was conducted by the Postal Inspection service...as well as the lack of a proper complete and through investigation on the part of the USPS and the issuing parties related to my NOPR. It fact a potion of the investigation contains flat out lies made to make me look as if I'm some totally unbalaced individual capable of retaliating against a female employee either at work or her home. This type of contention is made in a few of the narratives written up by the Postal Inspectors as well as a supervisor or two. This action follows up on a meeting that took place in approximately the middle of July, 2006...a couple months prior to the emgerency placement taking place; as well as NLRB charges being filed due to numerous issues in our contacts management was blatantly violating. Even after, all these devisious actions being taken against our membership and myself...A COUPLE WEEKS AGO, I FOUND MYSELF FACED WITH A SITUATION WHERE I HAD AN OPPORTUNITY TO CAUSE A FEW PROBLEMS FOR DISTICT LABOR RELATIONS. It seems the district sent a box containing roughly 40 plus maintenance cases from the district that end up in NC or there abouts for a scheduled pre abritration meeting that was to take place between APWU Rep B. LaSalle and some guy Meadows or something like that whom was representing the district. Overall, my information indicates the the meetings went fairly well and the two parties were able to resolve nearly 50% of the cases! NOW FOR THE IRONIC PORTION! Management's representative must have went to sent those case files back through the mail. The box broke open in PHG. we think, and the files and some papers separated eliminating the rewrap department from totally being able put every thing back together. A smaller box of individual papers from what I gather ended up at the district and a large number of the district labor relation files were sent to our local office. Probably because most of the involved offices were New Castle cases or cases from areas I handle as a state representative! Either way they ultimately ended up in my hands. ON TWO OR THREE OCCASIONS I WAS ON MY WAY OUT TO MY BURN PILE TO MAKE A NICE FIRE...HOWEVER EACH TIME SOMETHING STOPPED ME! THE BOTTOM LINE: turned out to be that no matter how little personal self-worth a number of the individuals directly involved in the witch-hunt against me have...I couldn't find it in myself to carry out similar activities to those that would or have already been taken against me...On Wednesday, I called Erie District Labor Relations and informed them I might have some files they would be interested in re-obtaining and in all likelihood will save them numerous hours of work in attempting to reestablish the files if they even could have. IT BECOMES VERY DIFFICULT TO DO THE RIGHT THING SOMETIMES; ESPECIALLY WHEN IT INVOLVES PEOPLE THAT ARE DOING EVERTHING IN THERE POWER TO TAKE YOU DOWN. The strength and massive support I received from all parts of the country helped me retain my personal integrety and NOT ULTIMATELY TURN MYSELF INTO SOMEBODY THAT'S NO BETTER THAN THEM.
