Well it's official. We now have a new CBA, the membership has spoken! The total vote count was: 84,486 YES 12,016 NO. That comes out to 87.5% of the membership endorsed our newest collective bargaining agreement...that's huge! The changes that ultimately are to take place in our office due to the new language are substantial and we will need your help to insure that managment complies with those changes. Over the course of the next couple weeks, I will compile a list of the numerous subjects that involve changes of some kind due to our new CBA. I surely hope that you took the time to vote, no matter whether it was Yes or NO. Personally, I'm perplexed as to why over 50% of our national membership failed to cast a vote! This was the memberships opportunity to participate in shaping our futures, yet at least one out of every two members just went along for the ride...SAD, BUT TRUE!
