I'm happy to post that an employee issued a removal for attendance related issues will be returning to work on Thursday, March 29, 2007. This settlement was reached without the case having to be appealed out of the office. Labor Relations Specialist, Denise Johnson and I were amicably able to reach a settlement that covered the concerns the union had for the employee, the employee's concerns, as well as management's concerns regarding the employee's attendance. Even though, it took some time to balance the concerns of all the involved parties, I believe the overall handling of the case demonstrated "Good Faith" bargaining by all parties. This is good start, after just recently returning from my own removal. It's my hope that this kind of professionalism can continue. Only time will tell though! Have a nice day everyone, mine wasn't bad. I've sure seen some that were a HELL of alot worse. Yours in Unionism and Justice for All of Us, Dave
