During recent Local Negotiation's, it was agreed to change how overtime is distributed to employees signing the ODL. In the previous LMOU, even if an employee only signed one specific list (i.e. before or after tour, lay-off) they were subject to being forced on all of the lists prior to a non-odl employee. In the new LMOU, initially you will only be available for the list that you sign. After exhaustion of all sign-up's on a needed list, management may then resort to non-odl employees. You are considered non-odl on any list that you don't sign and are still subject to being forced for overtime, but only after management properly utilizes the sign-up's on that list. The intent is to afford overtime opportunities to employees who may not have previously signed due to the fact they were only available to work at certain times. The over 10 hour sign-up will be utilized in the same manner it was before. There weren't massive changes to the language in the local, but there are some so it is important to read your local contract when we distribute them. We are currently in the process of getting them printed.
