Hi Everyone, Sorry I have not been on the board in a while. I've had quite a bit on my plate lately with my injury and all. I just wanted to let everyone know that we will be distributing copies of our new local shortly. We just got them back from the printer. Over the course of the next few days I will attempt to post information regarding the changes that were made. To be trueful, our local ultimately changed very little. The one big issue management was after was not agreed to; thus they will be attempting to take it off of us by appealing it to impasse arbitration. That issue is casuals plus 8. Over the course of the last few years prior to casuals working beyond eight hours in a day, OT was to be offered to our ODL employees...this excluded penalty time. Management believes that the new language negotiated on casuals at the national level makes the language we negotiated at the local level some years ago moot. I personally believe they are wrong and only time will tell. Initially, I was scheduled to have surgery on my spine today, However, due to some scheduling problems that date has now been rescheduled for 7/9/07. I will do my best to get everyone updated on our local changes prior to that time. Thanks for all the cards, calls and prayers. Hope to see everyone shortly.
